Temperature Calibration Micro Bath

With LR-Cal temperature calibration baths, a controllable temperature is produced within a liquid tank, with the aim of calibration thermometers by comparison of measured values (unit under test versus reference). A LR-Cal portable temperature calibration bath consists, at the very least, of a liquid tank, a correctly selected liquid for the tank and a calibrator thermometer (internal reference) with a display for determining the tank temperature.

Fluids, Liquids:

Thermostatic baths / liquid baths / temperature calibration baths can be filled with three different types of substances:

• Media that are in a liquid state at ambient temperature, such as oil, alcohol, mixtures with water-alcoholic base.
• Biphasic fluids that turn liquid in a temperature field where the bath is expected to be used, composed of mixtures of potassium and sodium salts that are in a solid state at ambient temperature and that from about 150°C to about 500°C turn liquid and can be used as calibration liquids in specific thermostatic baths
• Other solid substances that - in specific conditions - turn to a state similar to the liquid state, for example sands or alumina powders with extremly thin granularitary that through an air insufflation in specific thermostatic baths behaves similar to a liquid.

LR-Cal DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH - in its standard temperature calibration baths - does not use biphasic fluids since, although their temperature field is very wide, they are very dangerous and ca cause explosions in particular working conditions.

LR-Cal DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH does not manufacture temperature calibration baths / thermostatic baths / liquid baths using alumina powders since it is not possible to completely eliminate the powders that are continuously discharged from the bath opering, causing therefore some problems as far as environmental compatibility is concerned.

The liquids, sold by LR-Cal DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH are mostly oils and glycol-based anti-freezing mixtures. The operating instruction of every single equipment contain an indication of the best liquid to be used for excellent performances.
